The story revolves around the lives of 3 DAVIDS in 3 different parts of the world in 3 different eras.
1975 London- 30 year old David works for Iqbal Ghani, a dreaded Mafia don, who controls the entire Asian community. He is a protege who is poised to take over the empire until a revelation which changes the course of his future.
1999 Mumbai- 19 year old David is a musician born into a family of devout Christians. He is a happy go lucky teenager who loses all semblance of his peaceful existence when his family gets dragged into a political issue.
2010 Goa - 40 year old David is a fisherman living in the small fishing village of Betul in Goa. He falls in love with the deaf and mute Roma- the only hitch is that she is engaged to be married to his best friend Peter in 10 days!
All 3 Davids are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever.

The song Album received positive reviews from critics. IBN Live gave the soundtrack four stars of five saying, "Race 2's soundtrack is racy to the core. In a nutshell, the album is bound to be a hit. Let's just hope the movie is as good as the soundtrack is!" Shresht Poddar, of Score Magazine, gave the album three out of five stars saying, "Personally, as a standalone album with no biases, it is enjoyable but it could have done with better lyrics. The story begins with Surya (Ravi Teja) who owns a gym centre and he also has a good friend Sri (Sriram). Surya is in love with his friend’s sister Meghna (Deeksha) and after some cat and mouse games, she also falls in love. After a while, Sri goes to Saudi for a job and there he falls in love with Vaishnavi (Bhavana). The story takes a turn when Surya goes to Saudi to celebrate the birthday of Sri and is shocked when the Saudi police arrest Sri on charges of murdering Vaishnavi. He is sentenced to death. The only thing Surya can do is to get the signature from Vaishnavi’s parents to acquit Sri. But her father is Raja Goud (Pradeep Rawath), the bad guy whom Surya has been fighting all along. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
